One Last Hand Tricks Tier List

This unofficial Tricks tier list ranks the eight named launch Tricks from Fire Brick Games’ full-release notes. Tiers are role hypotheses for party lobbies heading into 14 August 2026—not datamined damage sheets. Re-test after every balance post on Launch Changes.

Ranking philosophy

  • S — Creates breakpoints in most lobbies when you already have a labeled plan
  • A — Excellent in common hand stories (pairs, straights, flushes, Aces)
  • B — Real, but needs a specific table or mode
  • C — Fun spice; narrow without setup

Read Tricks Guide for names and timing habits before you argue letters in Discord.

S-tier roles (launch hypothesis)

Straight Booster and Ace Maker sit high for High Score conversion when your auction already pointed at a sequence or Ace line. Pick Pocket sits high whenever denial decides a night—especially in Last Hand Standing.

A-tier roles

Trinity rewards trips-shaped plans after Trips Mult removal in balance notes—do not assume old multipliers still exist. Duplicator rewards “one good thing becomes a table problem” play and pairs well with Power-up greed like launch’s Cloner. Face Hunter rewards face-card pursuit and readable aggression.

B-tier roles

Red Shifter and Dark Shifter are powerful suit rescues and Tier 1 additions, but they punish players who never named a flush plan. In suit-war lobbies they climb to A; in pair-spam lobbies they fall to B.

C-tier caution

Nothing on the official eight is “trash by name.” C here means “you drafted it without a plan.” A Straight Booster with no sequential cards is cosplay.

Practice protocol

  1. Play High Score with one Trick focus per match
  2. Write the breakpoint sentence
  3. Replay the same Trick in Last Hand Standing after launch
  4. Update this page’s letters in your head—not in a screenshot religion

Pairing with fundamentals

Tricks without auctions are cosplay. Keep How to Bid, Hand Ranks, and Best Combos in the loop. Achievements may force experimentation—see Achievements.

What we will not do

No invented ninth Trick. No fake win rates. No “trust me bro” patch numbers. When tooltips publish, ranks get sharper.

Lobby argument script

When someone says a Trick is broken, ask: which mode, which chip count, which labeled plan? If they cannot answer, the Trick is not broken—the story is incomplete. Send them to Match Settings and this page.

Update cadence

Day 1 launch: role tiers only. Day 3: mode split. Day 7: combo page sync. That cadence matches Launch Changes without FOMO spiral.

Tier letters are hypotheses. Breakpoints are proof.
